How We Started
Hi, I’m Lindsey, the human face behind The Furry Potatoes.
I’ve always been an animal lover as you can see! A few years ago, I took on an elderly Guinea Pig whose owner could no longer care for her. I did my research and realised how much I didn’t know about looking after these lovely little creatures! She was joined by two friends and I became passionate about providing the best possible care for them all.
My Dad kindly built me my beautiful shed, which gave me the space to take on many rescue piggies, but I came to realise that I just couldn’t keep every Guinea Pig in need! And that’s when the idea for the Furry Potatoes Rescue was born, so I could help piggies and make sure they found the perfect forever homes.
What We Do
We're committed to taking the best possible care of any Guinea Pig that comes our way. We're a small operation right now, and we'll only take in the number of Guineas we can care for responsibly.
Every new arrival will get a thorough health check, and then be quarantined to give any lingering health conditions time to come to light.
